Why are some of the Quail Feet green?

The Quail Feet are responsibly harvested on a USDA-inspected farm. The USDA inspector marks the batch of Quail Feet with a blue/green dye to certify that the Quail Feet are approved for pet consumption, and NOT approved for human consumption.

Where are the exotic proteins made and sourced?

All of our exotic/novel proteins are responsibly made and sourced in the USA, except for our Wild-Caught Octopus. Our Wild-Caught Octopus is responsibly sourced from Spain, but made in the USA.

Why don’t you offer proteins like chicken or beef as an option?

Mosaic only offers exotic/novel proteins. We don’t use any body parts, byproducts, meals, oils, etc., from any common proteins, such as chicken, beef, pork, lamb, whitefish, or salmon. Whether we use single proteins or secondary proteins, our products have no traces of common proteins, as we stress the important for dogs to have a novel protein diet. Our exotic/novel proteins are nutritionally healthier for dogs than common proteins. The proteins that we offer are healthy alternatives for dogs that suffer from food allergies to common proteins. All of our items are hypoallergenic for dogs.
